WEXTOR 1.1 Beta 3 released: this version implements quasi-experimental factors and
distribution of participants to experimental conditions based on levels of quasi-experimental factors, among other features.

What is WEXTOR?
  • is a guided step-by-step process for designing your Web experiments
  • structures your design-related thoughts
  • lets you interactively create design variants
  • teaches experimental design intuitively
  • dynamically creates custom-tailored javascripts
  • visualizes your experimental design print-ready
  • spares you of deep-level programming in Web experimenting

What features does WEXTOR include?
These features are currently available on the version 1.1b3 of WEXTOR:
  • complete and incomplete experimental designs
  • between-subjects and quasi-experimental factors
  • randomized distribution of participants to experimental conditions
  • distribution of participants to experimental conditions based on levels of quasi-experimental factors
  • automatic avoidance of page number confounding
  • Javascript test redirect functionality to minimize drop-out
  • randomly generated continuous user IDs for enhanced multiple submission control
  • generation of ready-to-copy HTML and Javascript code
  • visual display and listing of experimental design, in terms of directories (folders) and Web pages
... and WEXTOR is based on five years of experience with Web experimenting. It will not generate experimental ideas for you (yet ;-)
